WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 Recreated Street Fighter Characters

Street Fighter's recreated many of characters at WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 & game has wonderful detail of players. Plus, "Jimmy went the extra mile and gave each of the fighters correct wrestling moves."

Because of how good quality these characters look, it's somewhat strange to see them with such real like animation. Instead of sacking off chi and attacking each other with hundred-hand slaps, they're shown attractive in various behaviors associated with the members of World Wrestling Entertainment.

Jimmy might be one of their weirdest and coolest usages yet. He's recreated many of Street Fighter's characters in the wrestling game, and it's quite a sight to see the iconic figures act like Macho Man Randy Savage. All told, he created more than 20 Street Fighter characters using the SvR 2011 character creator, and they're just about perfect. I never thought I'd seen Akuma and Gouken or Ryu and Sagat hash out their differences in the wrestling ring, but that's exactly what's happening here.

PS3 new 3D mode coming in 2010 to all existing games

PS3 new 3D mode coming in 2010 to all existing gamesA video of Wipeout HD being played in 3D, with some schmuck wearing 3D glasses and babbling on about how much fun he's having. Especially for something like Wipeout HD, whose neon-infused tracks make for an almost too convenient example of rapidly approaching vanishing points, we'd say 3D could really be a quasi-"killer app" for consoles going forward -- especially if those fancy new motion controllers don't catch on for Microsoft and Sony.

In many ways, 3D just seems to make more sense in a video game than for a movie, and the whole problem of finding content to deliver in the format has already been solved: a software update for the PS3 sometime in 2010 will enable it to provide a 3D viewing experience to "all" existing games on the system. We're sure there will be some exceptions, but it sounds very promising. The console itself pumps out a quite regular signal over HDMI, which the TV syncs up with your 3D glasses. A 200Hz TV, for instance, alternates 1080p frames, with 100Hz for each eye.

Gaming Mouse by Razer Naga

Razer Naga Gaming MouseRazer introduces the Naga Gaming Mouse gadget which was designed specially for MMO games. The Razer Gaming Mouse is designed to enhance your ability to control your character with 17 MMO optimized buttons so you can programmed different game commands to each button. Aside from the keypad, the Naga looks like a wired version of the Razer Mamba from earlier this year. Like the Mamba, the Naga has all of the speeds and feeds common to high-end gaming mice, including a 5,600 dpi laser sensor and 1,000MHz polling rate. You won't really need those high-precision settings to master the assisted targeting and timed-attack mechanics in a MMO, but it's hard to find a gaming mouse these days without such crazy settings, so you might as well have them.

Razer also boasts in-game configuration add-ons for World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online for the Naga, which will hopefully simplify mapping the various key commands.

Naga is reasonably comfortable and intuitive to use we can see how it might appeal to other gamers, digital media artists, or users of any other hot key-heavy software. Razer lists the Naga for $79.99 on its Web site and says it will be available online "soon".

New Xbox console coming in 2010 with base Project Natal

New Xbox console coming in 2010Be cautious about putting too much stock into an admittedly far off rumors, Microsoft's set to release a new Xbox console in Fall 2010, and that current media wonderful Project Natal is "the cornerstone" of that progression. Specs-wise, it's suggested we're looking at only a marginal boost analogous to Nintendo's GameCube-to-Wii transition -- place your bets on how long it'll take to "max out" this time, as well as a rebranding (Xbox Natal, anyone?) aimed at attracting the highly popular, more mainstream / casual audience, before Mario and the crew grab a second wind with the oft-rumored Wii HD.

There's nothing mind-boggling about these whispers, but again, Fall 2010 is quite a ways off and anything can happen in the meantime.

First promotion will allegedly by the 2010 Game Developers Conference in early March, so our best bet for now is to hold tight and keep a close watch on who gets a primetime slot among that event's crucial speeches.

Are you guys waiting for new Xbox???

No Grand Theft Auto "V" Rockstar Game In 2009

The most recent issue of Game Informer contains "loose talk" that Rockstar Games is readying a new Grand Theft Auto, a fully-fledged follow up to GTA IV for the holidays.
Grand Theft Auto Series Game SnapshotAfter checking in with the Rockstar folks this week to check out the first downloadable episode, The Lost and Damned, which is due to hit the Xbox 360 next month. A second episode for Grand Theft Auto IV owners is planned to arrive before October 31, 2009, according to parent company Take-2 Interactive, but there is "no truth" to reports that a wholly new retail game, one on par with the scope of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, will arrive before the holidays.

And as for the chances of the next Grand Theft Auto game taking place in Tokyo, as speculated by Game Informer's regular rumor column? Further requests for clarification on the subject went unanswered.

So, don't be surprised if the first two downloadable episodes already confirmed for Grand Theft Auto IV are just two of many. Rockstar vice president Dan Houser recently said to USA Today "We feel like we've only scratched the surface in terms of the depth and detail" of Liberty City.
